New Year, Loose Ends, Looking Ahead

Kier, your humble host

Kier, your humble hostWell, we’ve survived 2010 and rung in 2011… and what a ride it’s been.

I just wanted to pop in with a slightly off-topic post and thank everyone who comes through here and reads (and especially those who comment). This whole project started because I found I was always talking about relationships with people. Getting this site up and running over the last few years, I’ve been able to continue doing that on a much larger scale than I would’ve ever imagined back in high school… or even most of college.

If you’ve been bouncing through here for a while, you know that I’m in the middle of a series about facing your negative self. There are a few more posts getting polished to close that out. Specifically, how to actually work with the fears you have so they don’t stop you from doing what you want and need to do. If you haven’t seen all the parts in the series yet, you’ve got a few days before the next post pops up. And the new year is a great time for some introspection, anyway, right?

There’s been a lot of introspection going on in my life over the last few months. A good many things that I’ve always counted on in life have come a little undone lately, some of them directly related to things I write about here. It’s not quite time to tell that whole story yet (it’s a doozy), but I can say that life has really been putting me (and a number of my friends) through the wringer in the second half of 2010. We’re all ready to put ourselves back together and get back on track. Hopefully with minimal amounts of scarring.

In the coming few months you can expect a few things. First, the culmination of the aforementioned negative self series. Along with that you should also see the launch of my first two publications: a spiffy free e-book focusing on the core of the crush theory presented here and something a little heftier that builds on the ideas laid out in the negative self series. There will, of course, also be a return to the non-series posts that you all know and love–things like crush vignettes, rules to live by, and some good, solid, questions and answers.

If there’s something specific you’d like to see, please, drop me a line and let me know. And if you want to be sure you don’t miss anything that comes up, sign up for the mailing list and get a weekly update delivered right to your inbox. (The form’s right on the sidebar of the site.) You can also follow How to Crush Without Being Crushed on Twitter and Facebook.

Thanks again for coming by, I’ll keep trying to get you the content you want and deserve.
